I don't live in the area. I have relatives who knew this young man. I was told about this senseless tragedy by them and decided to Google it. While reading the article I was thinking how poorly and spotty the article was written. The neighbor comments should have been completely left out at this point. There is plenty of time for those insignificant details later when the reality of this situation has sunk in to those who knew and loved him. The facts should come first. If they are not know at the time, there is no harm in waiting a day or so. Allow the family to put him to rest with respect. He obviously wasn't convicted of anything prior to his death or I'm sure it would have been reported. I was touched by the teacher comment. That says a lot about this young man in my opinion. As far as "wildchild101" perhaps you need to rejoin the rest of the pack in the fifth grade. That's about when you start learning about the dangers of drugs. The first thing taught is that ALCOHOL is a DRUG...a very dangerous and addictive one. Who the hell are you to judge? Just because it is legal doesn't make it safe if used in excess or by the wrong people. Perhaps your judgment has been permanently flawed by your alcohol consumption, or maybe you are just too stupid to know any better. It never ceases to amaze me how heartless and insensitive people can be. And you have the nerve to call his friends"sinister". What exactly did you accomplish by posting this comment? People like you are what is wrong with our youth. Did anyone ever teach you anything about compassion? This newspaper seriously needs to filter the comments. Makes them look real bad. Sorry to the folks of Chattanooga, you deserve better journalism. My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of this young man.
