Wow, maybe took it a little to far with this one. Most of the time I find these cartoon very interesting. Not so much this time. Really just sad and maybe lacks a little taste.
So sad. One day. This forum couldn't leave politics out of it for one day.
The loss of life is always tragic. Whether steps could have been taken to make the mine safer doesn't change the fact that people died just going to work.
I agree the system needs fixing, but how would this system take into account "special needs" teachers. Then there is also schools where not only do the students not care about graduating, but the parents don't either. Is it safe to assume that some schools are easier to teach at than others? How would that come into account for the teachers evaluation?
I think the supporters for this idea are very few. This is just yet another waste of money...lets not forget the MUCH needed flag revamp. This is going to result in motorist going out of there way to avoid Red Bank. As if the money mooching cameras were not enough lets just cause one more head ache. I have lived in Red Bank for 25 years. When me and my wife bought our first home I pushed for it to be in Red Bank. I love the community and small town feel, but this is getting out of hand. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying race down the main strip or drive unsafe, but these
measures are just plain overkill.
Clearly Lane Kiffin is not the only person speaking out that a flag should have been called. While the game was beening televised the commentators stated "Alabama was very lucky there was not a penalty." Oh and also how many sport replays have mentioned this play along with the Florida and Bulldogs game.It is clear that officiating staffs across the country and especially the SEC are being second guessed because of the recent questionable calls that resulted in suspension. So in short, for the SEC to reprimand Lane Kiffin for speaking out against a Ref I say "SHAME ON YOU"
I would like to say it is great that the mayor included local students in the design of this flag.I just have to ask is this really a big need at this time? Was the previous flag offending a certain group,I doubt it.
Chief Sneed
I'm just glad you included the the flag Red Bank needed so badly in the drawing. Ya, take that East Ridge!

Wow, such a simple cartoon can bring up such strong emotion on both sides of the table.
