Payingattention, Just which donations have been provided by any of the organizations you keep citing as being ‘behind’ Occupy Chattanooga? I’m curious, who in these large organizations contacted the nearby resident who came early on and offered her bathroom for showers as her form of support. Who called the couple that stopped their vehicle on the curb 2 days ago and asked what we were about and when the occupy was explained to them handed a ‘donated’ dozen donuts through their truck window to us. Or are you talking about the local law firm that bought the Occupy lunch one day from a nearby restaurant. Maybe the Democrats organized a phone call to the lady who lives down the street and paid her to bring the hot coffee she brings each day. Perhaps the Reverand who dropped off a tent as his ‘donation’ was paid by move on to do so. He should have told us that. I guess you are right about the money donations needing to be claimed to the government. That would no doubt refer to the only cash collected by the occupy which is in a paper cup labeled ‘meter money’. I’ll tell you what…I’ll have the change in the cup counted immediately and let the appropriate agency know how much is in there so we remain fiscally responsible.

Payingattention is obviously not paying attention…not even to what she herself is saying about Occupy Chattanooga. First it was COA behind it. Then it was the democrats behind it. Then now it is moveon.org behind it and a growing suspicion in her mind that it is the unions behind it. The simple truth is that anyone who understands that we must get the money out of politics and end the current plutocracy or “rule by wealth” is behind it. You will find liberals, conservatives, students, white collar and blue collar individuals setting aside their differences to stand together at Occupy Chattanooga. They are all united in the single message that the course this country is on is unsustainable. We gather to share ideas so a solution may be formulated by the people…for the people.

If you are not part of Occupy Chattanooga it seems odd that you purport to know all about it. I Occupy when I'm not at work. I support the singular message to get money out of politics. We must eliminate the ability to purchase legislators and the legislation they subsequently pass. We must end the stranglehold that corporate lobbyists and career politicians have on our election process and return to self governance with an even playing field as the framers of the Constitution intended.

Unbelievable...if what you say is true, "Occupy Wall Street is nothing more then a leftist, socialist group", then please explain to me why at the general assemblies there are Republicans, Independants, Ron Paul supporters and local business professionals including attorneys, professors from Christian colleges and financially stable retirees?

This course we are on, as a nation, is unsustainable. The people are exercising their right to assemble and share ideas and solutions with each other in the only legal process left unmolested by the infiltration of money bias... Peaceable Assembly under the First Amendment. This Occupy is a people’s protest that, above all else, ensures the status quo will not stand.

It's kinda wierd how many miss the point here. We are not protesting the 1% having over 40% of the wealth in this country...we object to them using their wealth to buy legislators, and the subsequent legislation they pass, to give the 1% an inequitable economic advantage. There are not two sides of the aisle here. The 99% merely want an end to the ability of ANYONE to be able purchase and own a member of Congress.
