Question: Why hasn't our local "hero" Monty "Python" Miller come out and made a statement? Isn't the mayor suppose to assure us that our neighborhoods are still safe despite the HUGE increase in car thefts, burglaries, and now homocides? I certainly do not want to rain on his middle school parade or his "super duper" efficient traffic system but, to be quite honest, I am more concerned about my own personal safety!

NOTE: Please do not read into my obvious sarcasm and disregard the valid point of high crime penetrating redbank!

FINALLY!! you are only about 4 1/2 months behind schedule and you can pass the blame on whatever you want, but everyone knows the truth. First, she did not get a prompt investigation because she is not a local. Second, every investigation, and I mean EVERY investigation moves slower when it involves a white collar family that "appears" to have the perfect, 669,000 dollar family, and lets be frank when it comes to signal and lookout mountain isn't appearance everything??

i apologize, i was not trying to be insensitive to him or his family. I honestly do feel horrible that this happened, all I was trying to do was use this as an example to point out a bigger problem with CRIME inside REDBANK!

redlegs, i have all the sympathy in the world for the young man that was beaten, his life taken. one of those "ruthless thugs" you mentioned was in fact his old roommate according to the times free press. what is more, the point of my post and my opinion was to point out a bigger problem with crime in red bank, not specifically a problem with that house or for that matter jordan collins since I will be the first to admit that I did not know that young man.

this is frightening for red bank! although this may have been an isolated incident involving people that knew the victim, i can say that i feel like red bank has seen a major increase in crime!!! i know of more then one person that has had their car AND houses robbed!!! furthermore, the house that was involved in this incident had people coming and going all the time, were playing loud explicit music, and were partying often...why did the police never investigate this house to begin with??? why didnt neighbors call the police and speak out about the disturbance?? in my humble opinion, red bank citizens and police are letting their guard down and it was only a matter of time before something of this tragic nature occurred!!!

i second that ernest, i would also like to know if there is random burglaries/homocides happening in red bank or if this was an isolated incident!!

Red Bank Detective Sgt. Dan Knight should release a statement to either put the citizens of red bank on alert or ease their fears!!
