Saving electricity is as simple as installing low-e window films or window tints depending on which part of the country you live in. We live in the Northeast and bought low-e window films from a company called SnapTint last year. The films were inexpensive and we were able to install them in one afternoon ourselves. The films work by reflecting the radiant heat back into the room instead of letting it go straight out the window. This saved us a bundle on our heating costs. Check out SnapTint's website for more info.

Don't let the money we are going to save go to waste. Try installing low-e window. We installed low-e window films that we bought from a company called SnapTint and installed them ourselves last winter. We noticed the difference right away. Our rooms stayed warmer and our heating bill was significantly reduced. The window films work by reflecting the radiant heat back into the room instead of letting it go straight out the window. The films also qualified for a federal tax credit. By doing this you save even more money next year. Check out SnapTint's website at snaptint.com for more information if your are interested.

We used a similar film on our windows at home and it worked wonders blocking the heat and glare from the sun. We saw an immediate decrease in our electric bill during the summer months. The window film came in do-it-yourself kits that we purchased from SnapTint. The kits were affordable and easy to install. Check out SnapTint's website for more information.
