American's are especially isolated and naive when it comes to what goes on around the world and who the terrorists can really be at times. One nation's terrorist is just another's freedom fighter. It all boils down to which side you're cheering on."
So true. It would explain why we have a hard time understanding when others hate us. We only see ourselves as the good guys when to some others we are just the opposite because of the people we have supported who oppressed their own people.
I am well aware Mandela was in prison in the 80's but the group he was head of was responsible for the acts of the 80's. Mandela also refused to condemn the violence. I do not deny he was a great man, but a stretch to compare him to Gandhi or for that matter Dr Martin Luther King"
And yet someone like you seems to forget there was VIOLENCE all around Dr. King. His home was bombed, his life was threatened, those who marched with him were beaten and the children of Birmingham, Alabama were bitten by dogs unleashed on them (by the very people who were suppose to protect them) and sprayed with water hoses. The difference between Mandela and Dr. King was that when Mandela saw that his government was not going to protect the people (who should have been protected) he decided it was time to meet force with force. There was no need for him to condemn the violence. He was from a country where the MAJORITY had no say whatsoever in what was done to them. Yet he rose above it all and in the end he did bring peace to his country.
People like you are quick to call someone like Mandiba a terrorist yet you forget IN THIS VERY COUNTRY WE LIVE IN TODAY AND REVERE IT WAS FOUNDED FROM THE ROOTS OF VIOLENCE. DID YOU BELIEVE THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION WAS FOUGHT ONLY WITH WORDS? The Declaration of Independence is a beautifully worded document but make no mistake it was also a DECLARATION OF WAR. The colonists believed they were being oppressed by the British Government and when their requests for fair treatment went ignored they ROSE UP IN A VIOLENT REVOLUTION to OVERTHROW the British. So the next time you talk of someone promoting VIOLENCE you should think of how this country began. It certainly was not at some negotiating table.
Give no quarter ... Most Excellent ... This and other statements by Obama, the Fleabaggers, along with no filibuster will be excellent brick bats to beat down moderate Republicans’ attempts to compromise with those Fleabagger swine once the political pendulum swings back to the Republican side. 2014 and acquisition of the Senate and on to beat Elizabeth Warren the Indian princess in 2016... it can’t come too soon"
You and the rest of the teabaggers and right wing nuts also predicted President Obama was going to be defeated last year. Your prediction as to the outcome of the elections in 2014 and 2016 have about as much usefulness as the lottery numbers found in a fortune cookie. In fact, those numbers are probably more accurate than your predictions.
The rollout has been a debacle no doubt about it. However, it's not as if the computer glitches can't be fixed. In fact, that is the least of the problems. President Obama should have been made aware of the glitches and the fact some people would in fact lose their insurance. Anytime something is as big as the ACA it should have been MICROMANAGED by a team whose ONLY job was to make sure the program was ready and any glitches could be fixed in a relatively short amout of time. With all of that said it still is the best thing for people who have been without insurance, lost their insurance, been refused insurance because of pre-existing conditions, had their rates go up without cause and been sold policies that cover nothing more than the cost of a band-aid.
If Repubs want it to go away then they should offer something better than the status quo of what was in place before the ACA was passed. So far, all they have offered is criticism. If they have something better then they should put up or shut up.
Mitch McConnell may get primaried by a teabagger but he should be more fearful of what may happen to his chances in the GENERAL ELECTION against a Democrat if the story in the Washington Post is true. He might just be one cooked turkey. LOL
In rural Kentucky, health-care debate takes back seat as the long-uninsured line up
Like the SCOTUS, shame? Yeah, let's stack the court. Then we would have a real representative Republic, huh Shame? You poor misguided dolt."
No you and the rest of the teabaggers and nut jobs are just angry because you have been beat once again at your own game. Mitch McConnell laid out the game plan along with the rest of the cowards the night President Obama was inaugurated when they all entered into their pact to stop any of his appointments or legislation by any means. Well, they have pretty much had their own way even after President Obama was elected to a SECOND TERM. They have still tried to nullify the results of BOTH elections. This time Harry Reid grew a spine(short one since he didn't go far enough but at least one) and decided enough was enough. Even Chief Justice John Roberts said they needed to stop holding up those judicial nominations. Once again they have been beat at their own game. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of nut jobs and teabaggers.
I have no doubt IF they win the Senate back in 2014 with a slim majority they will take that option even further and of course I don't expect any teabaggers or nut jobs to be concerned then about 237 yeas or Thomas Jefferson's rules.
Libshame. You mention hypocrites. Like Sen. Biden? Or SenObama? Or like Minority Leader Reid? Like those?"
No, I was thinking more along the lines of Sen. Alexander, Sen. Corker, Congressman Chuckie, Paul Ryan, Sen. McCain, those are the ones that come to mind. Of course there are other right wing nut jobs but space and time does not permit me to list them all.
As for "Majority Leader Reid" the only problem I have with him is the fact he didn't take the nuclear option far enough yesterday.
Stupid is as stupid does. What a group of idiot coaches. It will be interesting to see how the team rises above the adversity. That is the story.
The real story is with the girls soccer coach at Baylor. As my daughter, a Baylor grad and former soccer player stated.........GROSS! I'm sure most liberals and Obama supporters feel that as pagan's there is absolutely nothing wrong with soliciting prostitution. After all, Senate Majority Leader, Democrat Harry Reid is from a state where male and female prostitution is legal and the state of Nevada collects tax revenue on the bidness. Nice!"
And you should have stopped with your first paragraph but no you had to really showcase your ignorance by connecting what happened at Baylor to Harry Reid and the Democrats because Reid is from Nevada, a state where prostitution is legal. One had nothing to do with the other. That would be like someone saying what happened in Marion County can be attributed to the people that voted for Scott DeJarlais, an adulterer and anti-abortion hypocrite. Nice!
No football rivalry should be worth losing a job over!! One has to wonder why they would think the criminal acts of Vandalism, Breaking and Entering, and Theft would be motivators for their team to win a football game? If anything the only motivation in those acts would be to encourage criminal activity.
Another stupid hit piece by a Democrat Party/statist hack. What a surprise. Leave Walmart alone, they employ millions and place stores in place where no one else will go. Take a trip across the USA and you'll see a Walmart in many, many isolated places"
And in those same isolated places just how many "Mom and Pop" stores has Wal-mart run out of business? See those stores can't compete when Wal-mart comes to town.
