This is absolutely tragic. As a nurse it saddens me to think that this girl's nurse failed to file a report. We are not only the Patient Advocate, we are MANDATORY REPORTERS! I personally wonder who the doctor was following that Plan of Care? As a parent, it hurts my heart to think someone could do this to their own child. Absolutely tragic.....
This is absolutely tragic. As a nurse who has previously worked in Home Health Care, it saddens me that this girl's nurse failed to file a report. First and foremost it is a parent's responsibility to properly care for their children, don't think I am letting her off! However as a Nurse you are automatically a MANDATORY REPORTER AND A PATIENT ADVOCATE! Wonder who the doctor was following that Plan of Care?!
