Great, the principal of one of the areas largest high schools is unaware that one of his employees is receiving an award. Didn't know until he read about it in the high school paper.
Think he is aware of a student bullying another student. Probably not.
Wake up southern states, you are killing your own children.
Since we moved from California in 2005, the very first thing my family noticed was a group of children were riding their ATV's without any safety protection. We would see the same unsafe act taking place over and over again. It is obvious that there is no law taking place that restricts what drivers of ATV's wear. When living in California my family would routinely drive out to the desert and ride ATV's all weekend, without incident. We spilled our bikes, rolled them over, and only had minor cuts and bruises, with some soreness. However, we all wore the following safety devices before any ride:
Helmets
Chest Plates
Boots
Shin Guards
Gloves
Goggles
This equipment saves lives and prevents some injuries. However, it takes authority to enforce safety. Good folks don't want to be told "what to do" all the time by the "man". But it takes "the man" to save lives, or else we will continue to read in the Chattanooga Times Free Press of another young child "departing this life early".
Wake up people, it is cool to wear safety equipment.
