Stewwie, you seem a little sensitive about your UTK Smokies-Vols-armymen-Daniel Boones-Rocky Tops-Coon Dogs ?. . . . .so please when UTK decides if they are Vols or Coon Dogs or Army men or Daniel Boones, you might want to hold off on shaking your head about other schools nicknames and mascots. . . .and please stop calling UTK a BCS school when they havent been to a BCS Bowl game in a decade

Scrappy is named , alot like War Eagle, as a rally cry " Those Scrappy Mocs" and also from longtime coach "Scrappy" Moore. . . yes and why isnt Auburn "The Plainsmen" ? good question MT, When I think off "The Plains", i think of the Midwest, not South Alabama, thats more fruit stands and convience stores . .

And Jay what about Auburn ? Are they the Eagles or the Tigers ? and what is an "Aubie" ? and how can you name an Eagle "Tiger" ( may she RIP ) ?. . . . . . . and back on soccer and that great 0-0 game, if I wanted to watch somebody struggle to score for 90 minutes I would take my friends to a singles bar . . .

Jay- enjoyed radio show discussion on mascots, nicknames, etc . . . ..Help, Im confused about UTK, are they the Vols ? and what is a Vol ? a little 1812 Army man ? or is it a Daniel Boone coonskin cap wearing guy ? And I doubt Daniel Boone ever volunteered for anything, he was a capitalist wasnt he ? Why are they not the UTK army men ? And then the Bluetick Coon hound, what is that ? Why would UTK not be the dogs ? or the Coon Hounds ? And why is his name Smokey ? I thought it was because of the Smoky Mountains, but that is spelled different. So should they be the University of Tennessee Smokies ? And it also is confusing at Lady Vols games when Smokey cross-dresses ( kinda creepy ) Should they be the UTK armymen- Smokey- Coon dogs ? . . . .its a nightmare to try and explain to people from outside the state

The reason no one does soccer is they can MAKE MORE MONEY playing football, baseball, basketball, golf, hockey, tennis, etc. . . .Soccer gets the low end of the athletes in the United States. . . and soccer takes ZERO hand-eye coordination. . . .Give those NFL skill players 6 months training and they would be the best soccer team in the world, no doubt . . . .heck they invented soccer in the US for rich kids that can't hit a baseball

its just kicking the ball, and half the time they just get lucky when they score, as evidence by that 0-0 game. it looks like the fastest guy on USA runs about a 4.9 , not real fast. It is a sport that when you are old enough to walk and kick a ball, you have mastered the sport...

Jay- you never addressed my question ? what if you took the Seattle Seahawks, for example, their DB's , WR's and RB's and a 6-5 athletic TE for a gaolie, trained them for 6 months, I think they could beat the USA soccer team. Your thoughts ? . . . AND i agree that what kind of sport that plays to 0-0 tie for 2 hours and people say that is exciting ?

Jay- not to rain on the USA pride, but i think if you took the Seattle Seahawks, for instance, take their WR's, DB's and RB's and a 6-5 athletic TE for a goalie and trained them on how to play soccer for 6 months, they would beat our USA soccer team. . . . should get some interesting comments from soccer loyalists . . . my point is the better athletes in the US are not playing soccer
