Once again the 'nanny state' tries to make another grab at our freedoms...this time, it's internet freedom. The legislation pending -- cosponsored by our own Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander -- falls under the guise of preventing online piracy issues/copyright infringement/etc. Will it end up like the healthcare initiative....so lengthy, no one really READ it...so generically worded that the internet superhighway becomes another branch of the mainstream media?? Will we learn-- somewhere 'down the road of course-- of the DOJ being granted the right to censor at will, websites they disagree with?? What in the world are they thinking??? How about enforcing the laws already in place....do they really think this 'grab at greater control over the masses' will effectively stop those issues??? I've no doubt both our senators feel 'they know best'...funny, they don't have to abide by the same laws as those they put in place for us. I'm ashamed to say that we've supported and voted for both of them. I can assure you we will be cognizant of their past performance when it comes time to vote.
