I would only add one thing to your list and that would be a complete revamping of the points system. First of all, dump the Chase. I hate knowing that most of the big name drivers are only points racing for the first 26 races of the season. Earnhardt Jr and Jeff Gordon said as much a few times this past season. Nascar needs a simpler format for points, one that's similar to the IRL points system. You get one point for winning the pole, one for leading the most laps and then a graduated number of points depending on the driver's finishing position. No muss, no fuss and no points racing, just drivers doing some real racing all season long.
