This move by the TFP validates my recent decision to cancel our 30+ year subscription. In my opinion, it has been an irrelevant source of news (accurate or otherwise) for a very long time, finally becoming a joke with the strange choices of front-page headline stories, massive amount of ads in the front section (more ads than info), limited Letters to the Editors, etc. -- and this seems to fit right in with that policy of self-destruction.

As much as anything, I believe they should focus on hiring a real PROOFREADER for the printed and online editions -- the very frequent spelling & grammatical errors should be of major concern to someone on the staff. They certainly drive me crazy.

What planet is "Shen" from, pray tell??????????? That is the most ridiculous & incorrect bunch of crap I have ever read. Funny, though, it does sound familiar.....

There should also be much more focus on the criminal "justice" system - the system which enables so many of the punks & criminals to continue their criminal behavior. They have absolutely no fear of our criminal courts. Each arrest & dismissed/suspended/released decision by the courts is quickly repeated, over & over, for years & years. Whatever little "punishment" there might be is definitely NOT a deterrent to criminal activity by anyone, regardless of the severity of the crimes. The truth-in-sentencing laws are a farce. The laws that regulate & restrict the courts should be revised to better serve & protect the citizens and the victims of crimes.
