Yes, i am the guy who wrote that note on the times free press about my brother, although, it wasn't as serious or traumatic as what you family went through. I am oddly enough tied to this sad event in more than one way. I lived about 10 houses down on Hixson pike from where the tragic accident occurred and remember it vividly. Also, if my information is correct, my uncle and i know one of his relatives, Deena Basetti (spelling?) whom i worked with at greenlife back in 2004.
Although we all move on at some point in life, (die) which is always sad, is it very sad that this man was allowed to walk free, drink and drive, party, and whatever else the past year consequence free until this September, putting other families at risk or harm. I have reviewed his past, and with attempted 1st degree murder, 3 or 4 dui's (i can't remember how many) aggravated assault (on my brother), and vehicular homicide, one would hope and assume that he will not see the sky for a very long time. I am a forgiving person, but i also believe in vindication and justice.
I hope that you're family has become closer after that day, and shared more love and time together than ever before.
