HCDE, school is out for the summer. How about turning off the flashing school zone lights in front of Central/Brown/Harrison schools!

"Kudos to the kayakers for knowing what to do under such conditions and doing it!!" Are you kidding me? If these guys knew what they were doing, they never would have gone out on the water under those conditions!

Should the tax be collected at the location of sale or the location of purchase? What if I place an online order in one state and have the article shipped to another state? Which state gets the sales tax?

Two years and $500,000. That's a pretty high price for being stupid.

"lack of a dating scene"?! What the heck does that mean? Does that mean Mr. Thompson got turned down by one of our local beauties while he visited here? Or has he even visited here. I've never had trouble getting a date (when I was single) and the religious or political persuasion of the populace here has never infringed on my lifestyle. And I'm one of those left-wing pinko commie Jesus hatin' baby killers. (sarcasm intended)

The Second Amendment to the Constitution: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Notice the terms "well regulated" and "militia"? "Well regulated" gives the government the right to regulate the purchasing and ownership of arms. And do any of you belong to a militia, regulated or not?

For Mr. JEFFREY MAZZELLA, President, Center for Individual Freedom Alexandria, Va. Re: EPB should focus on power business Two thoughts here: 1) MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! Why do you care what happens here 600 miles from where you live. 2) When everything in your fabulously wonderful little city is perfect, then you MAY have the right to criticize mine.
