RE: Rebate checks.....most taxpayers DO see it for what it is. Too bad Washington couldn't see it or listen to what the taxpayers were saying. Political deafness has become a major disease.

Auto mileage standards are way behind. Should have been raised YEARS ago...and still are not high enough.....35mpg? Make that 50mpg....let's see who gets there first.

Global warming? Put that at the bottom of the list. At the rate things are going, no HUMANS are going to be here anyway....just whales & polar bears & other 'protected species'.....and they will adapt as they always have.

Reappraisal $$$. Current home values have dropped 10%? 20%?....there's been lots of talk about it. Automatically DROPPING current appraisals by the percentage housing values have dropped = instant new appraisal....without any extra expense...huh??

Hispanics, mostly illegals, come here to soak our social system....welfare, food stamps, TennCare, childcare, housing... and take well paying jobs from us. Ms. Sales job pays more than what some of US have to work at.

I am a tax paying citizen working at a job paying the same, or less, than it did 7 years ago (less than Ms. Sales 'low paying' job). As uninsurable, I'm not eligible for TennCare. Since I don't have a house full of kids, illegitimate or other, I can't get government housing. I've been on the Section 8 list for TWO years, and still 1300 or so down the list. Guess who gets first dibs???

Also, you may not believe the shoddy workmanship of these illegals in the construction industry, but those who buy the houses do.

Illegals come here to fleece the taxpayer. They have no desire to assimilate & become Americans.....as evidenced by their REFUSAL to gain legal status and learn English. So, GO HOME.

No! to a rate increase for TAM. My bill this month is $20.59.....and I used .39 worth of water. Yes, that's right thirty-nine cents. Basic service $10.42, Sewer $8.78, Tax $1.00...and water .39. Go figure how much the 'average' bill would be if I used NO water.

How about a serious rate DECREASE.

Great! FINALLY something is being done about the fast-track to citizenship. It's common knowledge.....marrying an American citizen = alien citizenship. Encouraging to hear that maybe it's just not that easy any longer.

Mr. Avila has been here for 13 years. Isn't that enough time to work on his citizenship and his obligation to pay SS & Medicare, & income tax.....and child support?

Now if we can extend that to girls who illegally come to the US to have babies to dump on our social system......
