Dooley needs to take off his rose-colored glasses. How many coaches resigned when he moved them from coach to water boy? Furthermore, the classless way in which he fired Ray Goff before the Auburn game--after saying he would evaluate the situation after the end of the season--was terrible. Goff inherited a cupboard that Dooley left bare, Dooley made admission's requirements for athletes more stringent (see Lewis Grizzard's article), and seemingly didn't want his successor to succeed. Richt, however, was clearly pained by having to make these hard decisions. Dooley, not so much. Someone told me that Dooley picked the evening of Goff's daughter's birthday to tell him he was fired. If that is true, it makes his actions even more egregious.
