Canseco is none of the above, he is: broke. Sad and broke. Canseco likes to act like he did all this to bring the truth to light, but he just wanted money. He squandered the big time cash I am sure he was paid to play baseball, and so he sold out his sport to make a buck. There were no noble intentions there, despite what he may claim. Am I glad he did it? Yes. The PEDs were getting out of control. However, the holier than thou people who decide such things as hall of fame entrance don't just look at numbers and past performance (like they should). They decide whether they personally feel you live up to their standard of what a HOF entrant should be. God knows we wouldn't want to offend the memories of fine, upstanding, moral men like Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth....

I feel like 4 is a good number. If you can't be considered one of the top 4 teams then I don't think you deserve to be in. Will there be controversy? Of course! That is half the fun. However, no matter how many teams you have, someone will always complain. You have schools complain during basketball and they let in 68 teams! 68!!! Would that 69th team really add anything? No. I agree with the folks that decided on 4 because I would rather leave out one team that may be deserving than have 8 teams every year with maybe only 3-5 of them being deserving. The only reason we need this playoff is to fix the rare situation where you have 3 undefeated teams (like Auburn that one year) or only 1 undefeated team and the championship game participant is decided by WHEN a team lost and nothing else. I feel like this keeps the season meaningful, and forces some of these big boy teams to play quality opponents. LSU and Alabama have been stepping up lately in this regard, time for everyone else too.

There is an infamous clip of that show where Telly Savalas keeps yelling: "I just want the bread baby!. So awesome.

I feel like we couldn't replicate it though, because the networks would just do something stupid like put Ryan Seacrest in to replace Cosell. Clearly, the only acceptable solution is to use Mussberger and Herbstreit to announce.

Not sure how Fox would compete because all their programming is reality t.v. or cartoons, they may be short on stars. However, my bet for the winning network would be ABC, because Ed O'Neill is on Modern Family, and no one defeats Al Bund...I mean Ed O'Neill (who actually did play college football and was cut by the Steelers in training camp).

I can tell from many of these comments that most of you folks don't know much about Signal Mountain, because according to the original story this party was on Edward's Point Road. That is not exactly an affluent area. It's definitely more trailer park than mansions and swimming pools.

Underage kids like to drink beer, it happens in every community. The real story here is why the Sheriff's Dept. is wasting time an resources dragging kids to jail instead of just issuing them a citations and calling their parents like police everywhere else would.

If this happens in Red Bank it doesn't even make the news.

Also, I would punch Blake Griffin and Chris Paul for all the diving. And Roger Goodell, that guy is a tyrant.

Been a while since I commented due to that pesky job I have sucking up all my time, however I had to today. Love the Fletch reference. While Fletch was certainly superior, the whenever I think of that movie I think of Fletch Lives and the pink Cadillac with no brakes. Always good for a laugh, especially while waiting for quitting time.

UTC's own TO? I hear he is having some financial problems....

I find it pretty sad that these guys squander so much money, you would think that at some point when they were in college they would have taken a basic finance class. Heck, everyone should be required to do that, there are plenty of non-athletes that can't act responsibly either. Especially Iverson considering he went to such a great school. However, I know the NFL (and I assume the NBA) provides plenty of seminars and classes, etc. on how to stay out of trouble and be responsible with your money. These guys don't work 12 months a year, they have plenty of time to learn how to manage their money. It defies reason and is very sad.

Given that the Vols couldn't be any worse off than they are now, I agree with the Great Pumpkin. He probably would have at least had them going to a bowl game, and the Pumpkin NEVER lost to Kentucky.
