Using your arms against the agents of government (i.e. law enforcement and the military) will only result in your immediate death and save them the trouble and expense of your imprisonment and trial.

TVA board members are to be selected on the basis of politics, not on their knowledge of the electric power indistry. Senators Corker and Alexander are just doing their duty in objecting to Dr Brown somehow bypassing the proper selection process.

600,000 Americans have already died in a war to determine whether or not the United States was to be united as one country. Anyone now again openly proposing state secession from the union should be tried for treason - which is still a capital offense. The US routinely and rightly kills those who pose a threat to our national insterests and security overseas. There is no reason not to do the same to domestic terrorists calling for the end of the USA. Be careful what you publicly sign your name to, traitors.

Of course a fetus is not a baby. Nobody could sensibly claim that it is. The only question is whether it is a person, with the same rights as those who have been born. If it is, then the circumstances of its conception, its defects, viability, the life of its mother, are no more relevant to its termination than they would be for a 3 year-old child and all pregnant women must be forced to give birth. If a fetus isn't a person, then pregancy terminations should be available by request for any reason. But the Romney/Ryan platform that they would ban all abortion "except for rape/incest" is completely illogical and idiotic.

Nationally it's about an even split, with a bias to Chick-fil-a in the south and other conservative states. But in 10 years the chain will be gone - for reasons that will be nothing to do with opinions of homosexuals or marriage.

"It is probably about 98% complete". Probably? About? "It was delayed because of the impact of the tornadoes, and some spring storms and some heavy rains" Does TVA project planning assume perfect weather in its schedules?

Typical TVA nuclear incompetence. Just like Watts Bar 2. Late, over-budget and yet another hot summer with Brown's Ferry limited to 50% output.

Peachh2u - If you try and abandon a child at one of those locations, do you think they just let you walk out the door? Even this poor simple-minded woman had enough sense to realize that she would probably get into trouble for leaving her kid at a police station. Of course the deluded idiot was soon found and arrested anyway.

Tax fossil fuels enough to reflect their finite suppy and real cost to society, and there's no need for subsidies to encourage electric cars or mandated mpg values. Doing this would also generate badly-needed additional revenue to pay for the things the government must spend to keep our society civil.

"Socialism" doesn't mean the same thing in the US as it does elsewhere. Here it is a derogatory term, generally referring to anything centrally funded for the common good - with the notable exceptions of The Military and bailing out large financial institutions.

TVA had exactly the same problem with cost and schedule overruns of its nuke construction back in the days when all that work was done by TVA employees and not contracting companies. These problems are simply inherent in the nuclear business.
