Re: "University of Tennessee’s Anthropological Research Facility, commonly known as the Bone Farm"
Good grief! Where on earth did you get the Bone Farm? It is known as "The Body Farm".
From the Wikipedia article: "The original "Body Farm" is the University of Tennessee Anthropological Research Facility located a few miles from downtown off of Alcoa Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee, behind the University of Tennessee Medical Center. It was first started in late 1981 by anthropologist Dr. William M. Bass as a facility for study of the decomposition of human remains."
From a CNN article: "Nearly everything known about the science of human decomposition comes from one place -- forensic anthropologist William Bass' Body Farm."
YES! Clay finally got it right! Police SHOULD protect human life - ALL life, even preborn life.
(Yes, I know that wasn't Clay's intent for the cartoon. I'm being sarcastic about him finally getting it right.)
Some licensed gun owners already DO carry guns to church and nobody even knows it. But they'll know it if some criminal comes bursting in, shooting up the church or trying to rob someone or harass an ex-spouse or some such thing!
I don't care why he resigned, I'm just glad he did. The paper has really gone downhill in quality and objectivity since he came on board. (i.e., front page 'news' articles written to sound more like National Enquirer articles than real news articles). His snide, condescending, self-righteous attitude was disgusting and unprofessional. Maybe the TFP will go back to being a real NEWSpaper now.
@sandyonsignal's reasoning is absolutely ludicrous. A man who has a vasectomy does not create a life to be killed. There is no logical reason for protesting vasectomies.
Pro-lifers could "get a life" if the pro-abortionists would stop snuffing them out. I guarantee that if there was never another abortion in the world, there would be enough people that want to adopt a baby to place every one of them.
I hope she is a member of one of the two teacher's unions: GAE or PAGE. She can fight this. DUI is not grounds for dismissal according to the Professional Standards Commission.
It is possible to have all of these symptoms but not be drunk.
A diabetic issue can imitate all of these things (including a failed breathalyzer test).
Don't judge until all the facts are in.
The school system certainly SHOULD seek restitution! The stupid punks who broke school rules and the law should pay for this, NOT the taxpayers!
Even if they can't afford to pay all of it, at least make them start working it off by doing janitorial jobs at the school for no pay!
"...who were in the car hit by an unknown motorist who had stolen the vehicle."
This is the only reason they went after the car owner. Evidently, the person who stole the car was never caught & the 'victims' just wanted to get SOMETHING out of SOMEBODY, no matter who it was!
This is an asinine decision on the courts part & a greedy money-grubbing action on the part of the 'victims'. I'm sorry they were hurt but it CERTAINLY was not the car owner's fault!
This is such a joke! This woman actually believes 'the system failed' her (Channel 3 news report)? Ha!
"Henry was charged with assault, assault on police, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. That's a violation under federal "one-strike" guidelines for public housing, according to the report."
"Another report in October accused Henry of assaulting East Lake Courts resident Desma Matlock."
Nobody is conspiring against her! She's doing plenty to ruin it for herself.
Chattanooga taxpayers should not have to pay the bills for this bully.
Go get a job, woman. Pay for everything yourself like the rest of us do!
