i think he should go if he cannot produce, but you also have to look at what he has to play with. what great high school football player would want to come to utc when they only play small schools that have no real atheletic program to speak of. they want to play big well known teams. look at marshall, look what they did to improve their program, by playing big schools, whether they won or lost, they had packed stands, and mtsu did the same thing just to mention 2 of several.get a real known good coach and get out of this baby conference and make a name for the school.
i have always been a mocs fan and have always wanted and felt like if utc would get into a larger conference and bring in some big time teams, people would attend whether they won or lost. also recruiting would be a lot better for better prospects. i was following the mocs in the early 60's and they had some good teams and crowds, but it seems like everything else in chattanooga, if the money people do not want it, then that is the way it goes, reguardles of how the poor paying people want.
