First of all Ms. Freeman is the main concern. Her life was ripped away from her forever. I truly believe in being absolutely honest regarding any medical history, surgeries, and so forth. Yet, we as patients put alot of trust in our Dr.'s and so everything needs to be clearly discussed and understood by both people. Some physicians regard patients as numbers and can remember little else about us and then on the other hand some have a great bedside manner each and every time an appt. is scheduled. Unless all of the people who commented were sitting in the courtroom you didn't hear all of the evidence. I know media blows things out of porportion sometimes but I think the Times Free Press article was well written and I'm glad to see that Doctors are held accountable for their actions. Many Dr.'s play God when handling a situation or making a diagnosis and noone can do that, so only people involved and God know the truth. Poor Ms. Freeman who can not speak for herself has family and friends doing it for her. Which is the right thing to do. The person who made the comment regarding knowing how to read and her live in boyfriend that had nothing to do with anything. I can tell you this I would almost rather die than ever go to Erlanger Emergency Room or TC Thompson Emergency Room. The uncaring, unprofessional staff at both places is ridiculous. Now don't get me wrong, only the ER'S is what I am talking about. Erlanger Hospital itself is fine and I think alot of staff there does a pretty good job. I think all of this is extremely sad.
