"Turning into quite the theocracy aren't we? Other places (Arab Spring) are seeing the train down the tunnel and running away and we're merrily run to it! It's now a battle about who's perceived as the holiest not the brightest with the best ideas."
The really sad part is that you actually think that your post makes logic sense.
...and the sad part is you don't see the sense
Turning into quite the theocracy aren't we? Other places (Arab Spring) are seeing the train down the tunnel and running away and we're merrily run to it! It's now a battle about who's perceived as the holiest not the brightest with the best ideas.
Good call dude @ 0708. You nailed it!
Is there someone in the wings for the GOP that will swoop in at the last moment?? The current crop doesn't seem to inspire either the Republicans or the democrats.
What's your point... there's "snot" in whatsnottaken. Sorry I had to do it.
MTJohn - but the winners need to realize that there will be consequences for them. I guess they figure if they squirrel away enough cash/assets, they will survive anything: not a good strategy.
When sh*t hits the fan it generally gets spread all over the place.
"Whether it is yachts or jets, the people who buy them do not make them. It is the business owners who employ the following trade workers in the fields of: Metal, plastic, fiberglass, carpet, rubber, painters, electric, computer, plumbing, and laborers who assemble all of the components in a jet (yacht). Also the jets (yachts) have to be serviced, food bought out, air traffic controllers have to direct planes, fuel has to be bought, and put in the jets (yachts). I’ll stop here but you get the drift."
True but how many jets have you bought in your lifetime? Putting money in the hands of the rich may help a few thousdand people in manufactoring but but makes the millions of other peons pay more for the wealthy's toys.
Wealthy people likely worked hard; studied longer and sacrificed and therefore should benefit, but we need to be fair. When the rich are getting richer and the poor/ middle class are not propsering equally, the only thing trickling down is urine.
ONE NON-PROGRESSIVE FLAT TAX RATE WITHOUT ANY DEDUCTIONS OFF THE GROSS. It's fair in my opinion.
L4F: "Says who? I didn't vote Republican to have my buddies team up with a bunch of Marxist democrats who want to steal from the rich and give to ACORN and their other commie friends."
So you are say essentially that if the GOP was rowing on one side of the canoe you would NOT want any of those damn commie socialists rowing on the other side. You would rather just row in the middle of the ocean in circles.
When I vote I want the elected official to do what's best for the COUNTRY not just what's best to get them re-elected. I really believe that the party politics have gone way too far and the only goal is to get re-elected. Period. Great for them but I fear things might be at the tipping point regarding many issues.
BigRidgePatriot said... Clay underwhelms once again.
Deep contribution to the debate: insightful AND pithy. Where do you come up with this?
Seamonkey & AndrewLohr: The insulating warmth of your ignorance must be comforting.
I worry that even though Bachmann and Palin are walking cartoon characters they might slip in while we're looking the other way.
I like what BW and limric have to say.
BRP, Francis Seasimian, not so much. They generally spout the talking points sent to the by their leaders (GOP). If you can't see the points have a look at the crib notes on Palin's hands (REALLY!!)
L4F… he’s just scary, bizarre and not a little paranoid.
Hey BRP let me save you time for the next Bennett cartoon.
"Hey Bennett you suck. You're an idiot. Why did CTFP hire this loser? He can't draw worth crap."
