Lawyers know nothing about economics. They are one of two professions which insists on payment up front, before any work is done. They make you deposit a big chunk of money and then bill against it.

Everybody who thinks they know about economics needs to spend a summer growing a crop, hauling it to market, and then seeing how easy it is to sell, and how much they make for doing the work. That's economics.

Those SWAT guys deserve all the credit they can get for taking him alive after he fired at them through the door.

If they put just one state trooper out there on I-75 between Chattanooga and Knoxville 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and told them to enforce the speed limit for trucks, none of us would ever have to wait out a blocked Interstate 75 again.

Drive from Chattanooga to DC, and you'll find everybody pretty much obeying the speed limit in Virginia. Why? Because THEY ENFORCE IT.

Well GEEZ! Thanks a lot. That crane is in a witness protection program. OR at least it WAS.

When we have to move a danged bird from China to Tennessee to give it a safe home, WHERE DO WE PUT IT NOW?

Iraq was buying weapons from North Korea. North Korea has detonated a nuclear weapon. The Iraqi nuclear material was moved to Syria during the 30 day delay caused by Turkey's refusal to let us invade through their territory.

These are all facts. We headed off a nuclear war in Iraq.

Iran is next.

People in this country died from cancer caused by radioactive fallout produced by Russian, Chinese, French and U S atmospheric nuclear weapons tests. "Boom" over there equals agony, loss and expense over here.

And by the way, Rickaroo, those "dark skinned" people allowed a tyrant to take over and threaten the rest of the world. People who want peace must rise up against tyranny, even if it's dangerous, because if they don't, they're just putting off the inevitable consequence of events like the war in Iraq. Downtown Chattanooga is a perfect mini-example of how society breaks down and violence prevails when the people who live there don't take control and enforce civilization on each other.

Some of us are not content to live out our pitiful little lives hoping that nothing bad happens to us, and trusting the rest of the world to leave us alone until we die.

In my experience, very few people who protest against the infliction of order and civilization on an unwilling population are without fault. They fear accountability because they are living outside the law. Yeah, it can happen to you, and the sooner, the better.

Don't forget to tell all the kids that only 1 person in a million can make their living the way you do. Nice job, great cartoon, and congratulations for this recognition.

Get a part-time job on the weekend and save the money to send the kid to one of the local high-quality schools such as Baylor, McCallie and GPS.

It's not rocket science. 50 saturdays per year for six years ought to bring in at least $30,000 by the time high school is an issue.

The same guy who takes all these Hawaiian golf vacations also froze my pay for two years. George Bush at least had the respect for the troops to refrain from golf outings while our armed forces were in combat in the global war on terror.

There's a special code word that liberals and President Obama have for people who volunteer to make personal sacrifices for the greater good; SUCKERS!

Time for a change. Please, Republicans, don't put me in the position of having to vote for Newt in order to vote against Barack. It's just not fair.
