This reporter should verify his sources, perhaps with a visit to the Roane County Tax Assessor's office. The Assessor reported that real estate values had increased significantly in the vicinity of the spill and county-wide based on 2009 sales. Roane County said that TVA purchases were excluded from the data. Such a glaring discrepancy casts doubt on the entire narrative.
