The most interesting aspect of your article is to see who's not featured--there's not a teacher among them. As a community we bemoan disrespect and low pay for teachers, but when it comes right down to it, it's true! We don't see them as essential to meeting the civic and social challenges of today or tomorrow. What a shame, and what a missed opportunity!
