I would like to see some actual numbers to back up all of these claims. Are they pumping more money into the urban schools at the expense of suburban schools? I do not send my children to our zoned school in the E. Brainerd area because I find it inadequate. It is absurd to pay city and county property taxes and not have a decent school in which to send your children. By the way, if you are "friends" with a certain principal in the E.Brainerd area you can attend out of zone even though they are considered "overcrowded". The rest of us have to follow the rules.

Is it a nice place to visit? Sure. As far as living here, the school system is a joke. I pay city and county taxes and don't have a decent elementary school to send my children to. That's why there are so many thriving private schools in our area.
