It sounds like she's an extremely young mom who was probably a teen mom. She could be suffering from PPD and may not know it. I'm not justifying her actions but post partom depression can bring about irrational behavior. and unless the paper didn't report a father, it sounds like she's a single mom and at her age, with multiple children, and alone, that is difficult. Abuse is abuse and what she did is inconceivable, but she did cry out for help from her mom. This family needs prayers, not judgments. My heat aches for this little girl.i have a 2 year old and cannot imagine doing such a thing to amt of my babies, but I also had someone in my life to recognize PPD and I sought help. And I'm doing a lot better.
This is probably true in respect to what sandy said. Most women are happier when they are skinnier and a happy wife makes for a happy marriage. Self esteem makes a huge difference in attitudes and intimacy.
