Neighbors helping neighbors is a great concept but the volunteers are being taken advantage of. There are families that did lose everything they had but one of the families featured in the Times News Freepress did not. I have always heard "God helps those that help themselves". These people know they do not deserve the help they are getting. Especially when there are people within a mile of them that need help desperately.
