They are peacefully assembled, i definitely wouldn't argue that. but they are camping, and at the very least should have to pay a fee to camp and restore the grounds after they are gone. And they will be gone like a dog fart in the night. Because each day that i pass by the courthouse lawn, i am less and less interested, and so is everyone else.. They have already lost the battle here, no one cares.. they are the "new" homeless, except somehow they have more rights. they should honestly join forces with other groups and go somewhere else. If a homeless man/woman went and slept on the courthouse lawn they would get at the very least kicked out, and sent packing. I say that if they get to stay on the courthouse lawn that any unmanned tents should be filled by homeless people. There are quite a few of the total tents that aren't filled every night. As long as the homeless are respectful and peacefully assembled with them, they should be allowed to stay.

They are ruining the courthouse lawn, which in some way the taxpayers have to pay for. Let them put the tents in your yard, unbridledk9 and bojackunbound. i bet you won't be inviting them there. I definitely think they should be allowed to assemble for their, whatever they are doing, Just not at the current location. My friend asked 3 people that were gathered there what they were there for and said they all had different reasons. He and another friend of mine have talked to them face to face now, and both had the same impression. They aren't doing anything, they aren't trying to do anything, they don't seem organized.

Again, i think they should definitely have their right to assemble. They would get more attention for their cause if they went home at night, and started early in the morning and started picketing up and down the street. All they do is sit there and drink coffee, if there is anyone even there. I hope unbridledk9 and bojackunbound will give them a chance to peacefully assemble on their property.
