Have missed maple DD since moving back from Tampa in 2006...and so much closer to me than KK....(especially when all the roads in that direction flood!!)
If you do the math for the age of the mother you can see it is a case of a "baby" having a baby....please tell me that the infant in this case was able to be put somewhere that it will be taken care of properly...
I can understand that a family wants to believe that their loved one would not be guilty of such a heinous act. However, unless they are aware of evidence not given during the trial they must acknowledge the truth that there is a family member capable of brutality. If it was their daughter that this had happened to, would they be so quick to deny what the evidence has proven? I doubt it. How about some prayers for the victim, her family, and the Lebovitz family? Their lives are forever changed by the decisions of a man thinking that he could take what he wanted, instead of working for it.
This is only the second time in the last 10 years that I have truly had to use my insurance benefits. While I am going to be paying on a hospital bill for a few months, it is much better than losing everything due to a medical crisis. Yes, my portion of the cost has risen but I will gladly pay that and not worry about losing everything if something should happen to my health. Yes, there is a need for health care reform but be very careful what you wish for. The government has already shown that they are not capable of handling the complex issues dealing with all the different aspects of health care. And while it is unfortunate that not all are eligible for coverage, there is no logical way to make it available (financially or logistically) for every single person in the US.
While fear is reality, the cowardice shown by someone who is supposedly an adult, is ugly. Remember, this could have been one of your family members left to die a horrible death!
