Byrge can dish it out, but he certainly can't take it. He was the first one to start an attack campaign on Faulkner four weeks before the election. One of his supporters in Campbell County sent out emails and flyers that eyewitnesses say Byrge and his campaign manager handed out in parking lots that started all the mudslinging. As for the many eyewitnesses who saw this, that's one of the reasons he didn't carry his own county very strong--won by a narrow 300 plus votes and was creamed by his opponent in the other district county.
This is such a bogus lawsuit. I would like to see how many people from Campbell County actually read the blog during the time it was actually posted online. That's just ridiculous and most judges will laugh this right out of court especially at someone who conducted a public smear campaign and blames it on his state party. In contrast, I wonder how many votes his smear campaign cost his opponent--talking about the pot calling the kettle black.
He needs to put on his big-boy pull-ups and accept his loss. He's hurting any chances he has in the future by demonstrating he's a sore loser that wants to point his blame at everyone else instead of admitting that the smear-campaign backfired that he and his associates started.
The people have spoken! If you can't take the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen!
