How about this one:
Dear Signal Mountain students,
We apologize for breaking the rules of the TSSAA. We are very sorry you have worked so hard for the past few years preparing for this season, just to see it taken away by a group of parents who have placed winning before ethical behavior. Further, we apologize to you that we have been such poor role models and leaders.
Sincerely, the community of Signal Mountain
Thinking woman: I couldn't agree more with you. I think our kids deserve more and better discipline.
I am a Signal Mountain resident. I certainly resent all the SM hate on these pages. Tim is a great kid and an innocent young man. The boys on the team are certainly innocent. But there are all kinds of rules we have to follow in this life and if we are going to teach the kids anything, they need to know there are consequences to breaking those rules. The kids can learn a lot from their parents failures in this case. I wish my fellow Signal Mountain parents would admit to the truth and think about ethical behavior, daisys, flowers, and the things that really matter in this life.
I was going to respond to the Memphis guy and ask him why all the hate for Signal Mountain then I read hamjam's post and I realize why it is so easy to dislike Signal. Regardless, if proven, this will hurt the boys much more than it hurts the coaches. A very sad thing. They didn't even need Tim to win all those games. Of course TSSAA may end up dismissing the allegation. Then Memphisguy
can find another reason to hate Signal and hamjam can go on hating Baylor and McCallie.
I live on Signal Mountain and I am disappointed and embarrassed by the actions of our athletes, parents, coaches, and school administration. Winning is not justification for poor sportsmanship.
