Why is it that the anti-gun people in this country absolutely refuse to talk about the real reason that there are so many people in this country are killed by guns? They never talk about the real problem with firearms. If these damn judges would hit these effing thugs,no matter their ethnicity, that use guns during a crime with the harshest penalties possible, and the system would force them to stay in jail for at least 80% of the sentence, maybe they wouldn't be right back out on the street to continue committing the same or worse crimes. Instead they go after law-abiding peoples guns which won't even put a microscopic dent in the number of people killed with guns.

Great cartoon Clay!!! The Republicans must be spraying that stuff all over the democratic side of the aisle!!They must be sneaking into the dems offices at night and spraying it all around the baseboards and in the desk drawers.I wonder how they got it into the White House...

From what I gather Trayvon was in an ally behind the houses not strolling down the street. I could be wrong about that though. When I was younger I loved to take a late night stroll, still would if I could. There is nothing like taking a late night stroll with someone you love. If you haven't tried it you should on a warm summer night. ahh never mind, you'll probably never get it.

Easy123 said...Your safety wandering around random neighborhoods at night does not make your point at all.

Of course it does. My point was that the areas around these hospitals are rather dangerous places. Unfortunately a lot of these neighborhoods are filled with poor and lower income families. That tends to draw criminals to these areas because it is what they can afford too. There are of course many, many good fine people who live there also and they,I'm sure, far outnumber the bad guys. I worked with many of them and they are wonderful folks, but it only takes a handful of thugs and gangbangers to ruin a whole neighborhood.

easy123... I wouldn't feel comfortable wandering around in the majority of neighborhoods in Chattanooga after midnight.

I would in most places not downtown. Now who's paranoid?

jesse...perhaps that was it and the current(at the time) employees were misinformed. Sure didn't seem like it was that long ago. If I was in error I offer my apologies to easy123 on that particular point.
