Niether government nor business create the necessity for new jobs. That is created by demand on the system. Demand is created when consumers have money to spend. When demand for a good or service exceeds a supplier's capacity to satisfy it, the supplier is forced to increase the capacity by hiring. Giving a supplier more money through tax cuts will not cause him or her to hire workers he or she does not need. It simply means he or she will make more money faster.
I just joined here and it happens that today, the one issue that is more important than any other according to the media and the McCain campaign is whether or not Obama meant for the "lipstick on a pig" comment to be an insult to Sarah Palin. Can we please grow up? This is the kind of stuff I would expect to see in a high school election for Student Body President. We've got real issues that we need to be focused on. Issues that will have profound impacts on the future of this nation and everyone in it. People need to know what the two candidates positions are. I'm tired of hearing about who insulted who today and what the response was or should have been.
