NO! I disagree that TFP does good coverage. A Good example is the Chance LeCroy murder. The TFP at first reported that this young mad had been shot in the head, which was totally false. He was shot. No where near the head area. Then they go over to the house where kids had gathered and were in shock trying to figure out what had happened to their friend and printed it like it were facts on the case. At no time did they report of any other break ins in the area. Which there were a number of robberies just over behind the Middle Cross Baptist Church, which is just across the hill from the murder scene. They jumped on it like this was some big druggie murder and was an isolated case. Bring back the reporter who seeks out the truth of the story from behind a desk, phone and laptop. Granted they interviewed two neighbors, big woo! They drove there spent maybe 30 minutes and wrote an article and whatever they did not find in that 30 minutes, they quoted from other news outlets statements. Only reason they finally got the cause of death right in that young man's death is due to a plea from crime stoppers. A good reporter would start knocking on doors of other young men in this case who knew this pastor. Good and Bad. But it is so much easier to wait, go to the courtroom only and only print what the men say for a defense. What are details on past crime history on these defendants? Look, if this pastor was doing these activities, it won't be hard to find out. But to make the article seem like poor little angels, who could blame them for stabbing this man 29 times is outrageous.

For those who do not understand prayer before games. Go seek a pastor and educate yourself. Lesson 101- Nobody prays to win games. We as parents and players understand that any sport can be dangerous. We are taught to not hate, and care for all. We ask our God to watch out for all and keep them safe. Even you. We understand that it is only by him that we live and we are grateful. We do not ask for silly things such as cars, homes, or to win the lottery or games. God gives us what we need. Everything is in his will not ours. It's out of respect. If two atheist greet each other and one does not shake the others hand or one dies, you don't go busting up in their funeral screamin and yelling. This would be disrespectful. Prayer for Christians before games, dinner, bed, etc..Is showing respect to our God. It would be rude not to acknowledge him. So for all you nuts out there that do not understand, maybe that will help a little.

Thank you so much librul for correcting my spelling. I am in a hurry today trying to work and help pay for that public address system you keep harping about. After all, nothing we use at Soddy-Daisy does Hamilton County School(government) pay for anyways. All the way from uniforms down to the sod on that field. When bleachers go out, scoreboard goes bonkers, and even that PA system that for some reason our government seems to think they own, the Sports Boosters spend many hours selling everything but tail to pay for it. Ah yes, even the money you pay at that gate does not even go into our program for repairs. It goes downtown somewhere and is divided among all coaches who our School Board(government) years ago messed up. And not all those coaches get paid. And the way I look at it, if someone feels threatened about a 15 sec prayer that is their own problem. I have never seen anyone slapped and took out kicking & screaming because they did not bow their head & pray. Nor have I ever seen anyone at these so called student led prayers been "born again" or convert people to to make someone leave their religion behind. Like I have stated before, these groups that stand on no prayer of any sorts in public places are "hate groups". In America we should be moving forward, and learning TOLERANCE. Not taking away rights that have been given and practiced for more years than you or I have been alive. We must be very careful. Today it is prayer in schools, tomorrow something else will be removed. It's bigger than religion. But of course we are always thinking of what fits our own needs and wants. Like I said, the picture is so much bigger. Wake up!

Tolerence–noun 1. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry

People this is not what Jim Scales teaches the students of Hamilton County. Last I looked religion falls under this heading. All prayer led at Soddy-Daisy is done by a student. Not a teacher, pastor, principle or any specific denomionation. It is STUDENT led. These groups screaming lawsuits are "hate groups". How would Mr. Scales feel if we told him he could not be our Superintendent because he were colored. No matter how offensive that sounds, same applies here.

Discrimination- is a sociological term referring to the treatment taken toward or against an individual of a certain group in consideration based solely on class or category. Discrimination is the actual behavior towards another group. It involves excluding or restricting members of one group from opportunities that are available to other groups. So what does that make Jim Scales?

When prayer is being read at the Soddy-Daisy football games, it is a student. Not a teacher, principle, pastor, preacher, priest or any certain denomination. No one is forced to listen, drug off kicking and screaming by the christian police. In fact of all my years attending football games, which is 35 years and counting, I don't think I have ever seen anyone,"born again", or smacked upon the head to be healed. I find it amazing how Soddy-Daisy High School has done an amazing job the past few years on teaching their students tolerance. Looks like they missed one. Weather it be religion, race or sexual preference. These groups that want to scream this nonsense is teaching hate. Plain and simple. Grow up people, get a life. Just pretend they are annoucing they have fresh burgers ready on that PA & enjoy the game.

Here we go! Already another conspiracy. Now the U.S. District Judge Harold Murphy is part of this plot. Let me spell it out. To sue someone, you can say all you want about what you think someone has done, but you got to have some form of proof to back up your claims. Something tangible. Everything she has entered has basically so far been a he said she said. Can you imagine how backed up courts would be if you could just sue on by what a person feels. No one is saying she has not been done wrong. But cases like this, you have to "put up or shut up" so to speak. Just because a jury found her innocent of the charges is not enough proof. This last one she submitted is a lot better, but once again its a whole lot of he said she said. Nothing tangible. It's going to be interesting to watch. We have moved from crimal courts to civil courts which now is another ballgame all togethor. Let's just hope if she can pass this hurdle, that she can back it up with tangible proof. If not, I guess we can add that jury in this case to the list of the so called conspiracy, witch-hunt, perfect storm against Tonya Craft. This list just keeps getting longer and longer.

VDog maybe you can take time out to educate yourself on a few real facts on child sexual abuse. Yes, I remember Duke Lacrosse. Which I think is hysterical when that comes out of ignorant peoples mouth to compare the two cases. The Duke case was all ADULTS. Not children. Have you took a look at real studies done on child sexual abuse?Probably not.The younger the age, the percentage of false reports drops, less than 3%.If you need to educate yourself on real facts about child sex abuse and this case you may go to www. href="http://www.seekrealtalk.blogspot.com/">http://www.seekrealtalk.blogspot.com/ You are more than welcome to bring your monkey brain to the site and learn something new. God forbid we allow you to run around spitting out uneducated statements about child sexual abuse.

What makes me laugh are the people that are so sure that Craft is innocent. If people would take the time to really do a history on her "expert witnesses", they will find that they are NOT so reliable sources. And Craft herself giving the impression she has lost everything, while living in a $285,000 home zooming around in north Hixson in a sports car. Why do you think she did not have interviews done out of her present home? Because it would not fit her poor pitiful me, I'm broke. She talks out of both sides of her mouth. One minute Joel Henke is doing what is best for their children, to he's the devil. Its the parents fault, its the kids lying, its the DA's fault, its CAC fault, its the forenic nurses fault, its the schools fault, its the media's fault, etc.. Now we get to hear who else's fault it is for a whole hour every 2 weeks. Not me. I think I would rather go have a root canal.
