LawStudent, I am curious to where you are seeing slander of children by the folks posting? I just don't see it. If the kids get in a fight or get caught drinking, they are just stating a fact. I am confused by your comments!
Wow, I am totally shocked they didn't slide on it. I really did not think they would get punished. I am sure every school has situations were they get kids out of district. I think the big deal here is that it was very BOLDLY done. Many kids have been approached since SM come into existance. I think they had the "SM is untouchable" thing going on like they are mafia or something.
It is very sad for the kids, I agree. But, some of the things posted in the previous article lead me to believe the untouchable attitude has carried down to several of the kids, as well. After all, I am sure the students look to the coaches to lead.
rb12, that is the sad thing. He probably didn't have a clue. The adults in his life (not being specific to anyone - so don't take it personally) put him in a bad situation to satisfy their own greed.
I am about willing to lay money on it that SMMHS will get away with it all. Along with myself, other people I know have children that have been recruited. They have a special foreign lanugage program that no other school in the county has available. This allows them to have students request to participate in this program since it is not available anywhere else. (This is how they get in without the no child left behind.)
Obviously, there are several ways to become an Eagle! With that being said, I will be very surprised if they get slapped.

I can't help be thinking you reap what you sow.
