If you will do a little research you will clearly see why Google has worked the deal to purchase On2. Though it is a small tech company, it's future is/was extremely bright! They specialize in video Codecs (compressing and decompressing data). Their IP products are used by some of the bigger video providers. Flash video has overtaken the web with video, including advertising. They used On2 products (almost given to them) to gain their advantage. Google as much "hints videos are the future of website design". These products not only allow them to improve their YouTube site, but puts them in the cat birds seat for the future.
I will disclose I am an Investor in On2, who is totally frustrated and mad about our management agreeing to this acquisition at such a price per share. Myself and hundreds of other stock holders are aggressiviely suggesting our "No" vote.
We feel this stock is a prime example of everything that's wrong with the Stock Market, and failed oversight by the SEC and other Government entities. We feel it has, daily been manipulated, possibly even in advance of this acquisition. It has, for over two years, been on the Reg Sho list for Failure to Deliver from Sales, and Short Sales. These issues have been disregarded by the government we expect to police the market.
