To an informed person, the answer to your question ("Why does anyone think it will get better?) is obvious. You are correct, Dooley's record as a head coach is 26-30 and it should be much worse considering he coached at La Tech (completely turned their program around and took them to their first ever bowl game) and at Tennessee where he inherited a mess (only 17 upperclassmen on the roster, that's by far the fewest in the SEC). Might want to educate yourself before you come on here trying to belittle a coach that's done a great job everywhere he's been, including Tennessee.
