Their money hemorrhaging is from paying exorbitant retirement benefits. Nothing that is being done is encouraging people to increase mailing, it only encourages them to STOP using mail. When no one uses the mail anymore, the retirement obligations will continue.

Follow the police paper trail (if there is one) to find out why appropriate action was not taken. Maybe this should also be considered a police/DHS scandal for a media field day.

There are plenty of companies who locate in an area because of tax breaks and other incentives. When the tax breaks and incentives expire, they tend to close their plants and relocate. Expect Amazon to do this in 2 years, unless there is a federal law passed that requires all companies to collect for all states.

Human compassion finds the image of dead or dying animals unpleasant. However, natures way is for predators to live by killing prey. In the natural way, the predator kills the weakest, either sick, old or young, and the strongest survives to pass its superior genes to future generations. Human hunters want to kill the strongest for trophy points. That's the easiest way, and Hey! maybe we can collect more hunting taxes or fees!

Broken power lines, cable and phone lines also result from icing conditions and fallen tree limbs. Our recent tornadoes show our vulnerability to weather.

Has anyone commented that when Amazon establishes a physical presence in TN, Tennessee residents will have to pay the sales taxes on Amazon purchases. TN Dept of Revenue will be able to force them to collect.

My family recently used a wildlife service to get rid of attic rats. They also are called on to trap these "nuisance" animals. The wildlife worker had a couple of trapped raccoons in cages in his truck. He said that he was required to exterminate them "just in case" they had rabies. I think that is unnecessary. They could be held for the incubation period to see if the disease develops. If it doesn't, they could be relocated. Even Old Yeller was kept in the corn crib until he had to be shot!

I think the members of the organization are descendants of the Confederate soldiers, not their ancestors.

The state flag they are standing in front of is not the current flag. I know some individuals refuse to let go of the Confederate battle emblem, but I would think an official state agency or city would have to. It's like flying a 48-star American flag because it was used in WWII.

This is just a prelude to raising the rate for the service again.
