Here comes the million dollar question. If you have a public citizen commiting an offense against the state which is public and being sentenced by a public official (judges are paid from taxroll) why are we insisting on putting private for profit companies in the punishment side. Private companies wether they be probation or private run jails are for profit not public intrest. We must put a stop to this practice it is unconstitutional and only going to lead to more abuse and corruption of our legal system
