Al-disproven is a sucker for the unconventional, making him a sitting duck when the Mormons came knocking. He doesn’t understand that God used men to write Scripture – His Word. The idea of secondary causation escapes him. http://www.opc.org/new_horizons/Inspiration.html

You would think that a car dealer would take a look under the hood before buying. I suppose he is still sold on the idea that Jesus was married, despite the fact that his own sources discount that conclusion as preposterous.

If you know anyone with a Yugo or a Pinto to unload, I think you’ve found yourself a buyer.

The cartoon could also be titled "The state of relations between the U.S. and her allies."

A community organizer / pop star does not a world leader make.

... Waiting for a leader with the capacity to unite them ... Three more dysfunctional years ... (sigh)

LibDem said...Governing by recall doesn't seem like the most efficient approach. What if we all just went to the polls on election day and voted? We're getting about 20% of registered voters and then a host of complaining.

“That gay guy” spearheaded the push for a major policy shift (and an expensive one) affecting all Chattanooga taxpayers. It is a policy shift that he didn’t have the integrity to so much as mention in his campaign for office. Efficient or not, a recall is entirely appropriate for such a public official. No passes for being gay.

Liberals alleged compassion for the poor is little more than hot air.

una61 said...Speaking of cold hearts, Monday's low temperature is forecast to be 18 degrees, the homeless shelter will be full and Chattanooga churches will be locked, including their coffee shops.

Exactly who do you think it is that funds (and staffs) the Community Kitchen, along with ALL of the homeless shelters in this city and in most American cities? Should there be more church-sponsored homeless shelters? Of course. But when you compare them with atheist institutions that open their doors to the homeless … Oh, wait. Atheists don’t establish institutions that offer lasting help to the poor. In fact, they don’t establish institutions of any sort. They simply whine about the imperfections of those who do.

Old man winter, meet your cousin, Joe Cool.

Rush and the White House Intern/POTUS actually have some things in common. They both have proven to be cool, polished communicators, especially in their use of demagoguery. Both are skilled in their abilities to read their audience, use buzz words, and play them like a fiddle in order to boost their ratings. Entailed with those skills is their penchant for firing up extremists in their respective parties and enraging members of the opposing party. Both men, however, are utter failures in their qualifications to lead the country. Due in part to their respective demeanors, they do cannot seem to play a positive role in effecting bi-partisan policy-making or encouraging temperate public discourse. Contra the cartoon, both are, at bottom, more about generating heat than light.
