I urge everyone to cancel their subscriptions to the Times Free Press immediately. I, for one, would rather enjoy the company of one of our local "Nazi cops" (as labeled by the newspaper's executive editor) than read this rag one more day. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, please take the time to read this article:
and this letter:
I don't know Mr. Foster, but based on the label (Nazi cops) that he has tried to place on our local law enforcement officers (one of whom recently paid the ultimate price while performing his duty to protect us), I don't have the time to describe my loathing for Mr. Foster and the newspaper for which he works. Mr. Foster's description of our local law enforcement officers as "Nazi cops" speaks volumes about his attitude toward the men and women who go out and do their best to protect us every day.
Your actions will speak louder than your words. Cancel now. Don't just complain.
Thank you. And may God bless the law enforcement officers and other emergency response personnel in our country.
(If you are hesitating, please take a look at the following website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wa...
The Nazis were responsible for the deaths of MILLIONS of innocent people, and Mr. Foster wants to link our local law enforcement officers to them. Mr. Foster deserves contempt that I cannot describe.)
I still find it odd that a child molester, who got away with it, has become such a celebrity in our community.
The clock said zero, and the official on the field said, “The game is over.” When does a football game end?
Most first year law students would recognize that this lawsuit is garbage. The only way the Wrights can win is if the City gives in and settles the case.
Usually, I don't look forward to fall, but as hot as it has been lately, I'm ready. Now I have another reason to look forward to November - a new mayor. The sooner we get rid of the crook/idiot we have in the mayor's office right now, the better off we will be.
It's still difficult to believe she was found not guilty. The only visitation she deserves is for her children to come visit her in prison once a month.
The real problem is that the criminal justice system in Tennessee is a joke and criminals (including young criminals) know they won't have to do any real time in jail or prison for almost anything they do. Until the legislature builds more prisons and until the state stops letting criminals out early, let's all keep those handguns close - because a lot of times that's all that's going to be there to protect you (probably from someone who should still be serving time).
