I cannot determine how TFP decides which rants to publish. I sent this rant (which TFP did not publish) last week:
The photo op showing Paul Ryan washing clean pots and pans at a homeless shelter evidences a complete lack of character.
I sent this rant (which TFP did not publish) following well-publicized discussions of the Simpson-Bowles proposal to deal with the federal budget deficits:
Former Senator Alan Simpson [Simpson-Bowles] nailed it: Congress can’t deal with tough issues because the members of Congress “worship the God of Re-election.”
I sent this rant (which TFP did not publish) after the TFP article about BlueCross BlueShield, a so-called not-for-profit company, making a so-called charitable contribution:
How dare BCBS of Tennessee give away $8.2 million instead of returning it to those who paid insurance premiums or better still, lowering the premiums!
I thought the rants were topical and timely. Either the editors of TFP thought otherwise, or they have their own agenda.
David Norton told Wayne Keylon "about his medical condition." Unfortunately, David chose not to disclose that he has a "medical condition" until midway through early voting and still has not made a full disclosure, i.e., he has not identified the condition. I certainly hope David recovers, but if David is elected and cannot serve, the county commission will appoint the judge. I for one do not want another David Bales on the bench - one is too many. No sale, Wayne.
No matter what the topic, joneses always rants about jesus.
When the subject is Romney's repeated refusal to release his tax returns and to explain why he needs not only a Swiss account but a Cayman Islands account [what is he hiding?], jack responds that Obama's life is not an open book.
Joneses refers to liberals as "pathetic, freeloading, parasites and leaches [sic]." The reasons Joneses and others of his ilk regularly resort to name-calling may include emotional instability, diminished mental capacity and irrational thought processes. What Joneses fails to recognize is that by resorting to name-calling, he has already lost the argument.
I consider myself a moderate, but I do not take offense when I am told I have liberal views. Most of the liberals I know are lively, thoughtful, productive and caring.
Unfortunately, there are liberals who also resort to name-calling. When they do, they not only lose the argument, they sink to the level of those about whom they comment.
One of you with the facts might want to write a letter to the editor demonstrating the depth of the deceit in John Spittler's letter. He is despicable and should be exposed. Most readers of the TFP do not visit this opinion section and accept his lies as truth.
Why do decriers of Clay Bennett always sees a negative in his cartoons? Why not look for the positive for a change? I see a new governor learning how to move Tennessee forward. Once he gets his balance, he can remove the training wheels.
Clay did not speak ill of Bob Moon. Those claiming disrespect are out of line. Clay expressed an opinion that has been a topic of conversation in courthouse circles for years.
Those who want the posts to stop should not use the terms "fair and impartial" and "beloved," as they simply invite a contrary response. If you must comment about Bob Moon in response to a critique of David Bales, you could refer to his citizenship.
And Sara, I have been in David Bales' courtroom too, too many times.
The Welcome Mat
joneses is dumber than most religious nuts.

jack, you remain clueless.
President with less vetting? Where have you been? Obama IS the president and has been for 3 1/2 years.
I don't know what Romney is hiding. You don't either. I care. You don't. Why did he need Swiss and Cayman accounts? You don't care. I do.
