The Tennessee Department of Transportation is reporting accumulations of snow and ice on roads, especially in Cookeville and Crossville. TDOT urges drivers to stay home until road conditions improve and asks that any residents who must travel do so with caution.
As of 9:56 a.m., there were reports of multiple crashes on I-40 between the 294 and 330 mile markers. I-40 is closed for salting and plowing with no detour in place.
Crews are being rested and will soon be reredeployed to clear and open roads.
