Mr. and Mrs. Bernard A. Schanzmeyer, Jefferson City, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today with a dinner and dance for family at the LOMO Club, hosted by their children. Bernard Schanzmeyer and Norma Jean Gray were married November 27, 1952, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Meta, by the late Rev. A.J. Hoegen. They were attended by the late Gilbert J. Schanzmeyer, and the late Roslyn (Strope) Stuckenschnieder. Mr. and Mrs. Schanzmeyer have five children: Rhonda Saucier and her husband Matt, Taos; Marsha Smith and her husband Tom, Columbia; Karla Houchins and her husband Chuck, Jefferson City; Gayla Westergaard and her husband Ty, Olean; and Stacia Kellett and her husband Scott, Goodland, Fla. They also have 12 grandchildren: Beth Houseworth, Mandy Kozminske, Brandon Saucier, Adam Smith, Megan Cornelius, Audrey Houchins, Danielle Houchins, Nathan Hays, Rachel Hays, Hunter Kellett, Wyatt Kellett; a step-grandchild: Christopher Westergaard; and 15 great-grandchildren.
