Steve and Lauren Hubble, Jefferson City, along with Kenny and Sherry Backes, Frankenstein, announce the engagement of their children, Miranda Hubble, Jefferson City, and Brian Backes, Frankenstein. A September 23 wedding is planned at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Frankenstein. The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Jefferson City High School, Jefferson City; a 2016 graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; and is currently a graduate student at Stephens College, Columbia, studying a dual emphasis of Marriage and Family Therapy and Licensed Professional Counseling with an expected graduation date of May 2019. She is employed with Capital Region Physicians - Center for Mental Wellness. The groom-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Fatima High School, Westphalia, and a 2012 graduate of State Technical College of MO with an Associate degree in Electrical Distribution Systems. He is a Lineman with Three Rivers Electric Co-op. The couple is registered at Wal-Mart and Target.
