Mr. and Mrs. Jim Forbis, Jefferson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert, and a meal at Veits Restaurant, hosted by their children and spouses. They also enjoyed a trip to Hawaii. Jim Forbis and Kay Conner were married July 7, 1968. Rev. William Ferren officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Forbis have three children: Jay Forbis (Tina), David Forbis (Shari), and Michael Forbis (Karen). They also have eight grandchildren: Lucas Sinclair, Megan Teeuwen, Nikki (Forbis) Toerper, Thomas Forbis, Ryan Forbis, Alison Forbis, Lauren Forbis, and Nathan Forbis; and one great-grandchild, Chase Toerper.
