Rachel Werner and Deion Hughes, both of Jefferson City, were married at 1:30 p.m., September 29, at Immaculate Conception Church, Jefferson City. Rev. Don Antweiler performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Randy and Tina Werner, Jefferson City. The groom is the son of Denny and Carole Hughes, Jefferson City. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace fit-to-flare gown with an illusion neckline and back with a cathedral-length chantilly lace veil. She carried a bouquet of a variety of roses, orchids, private berry and other flowers in an array of oranges, blues and burgundy. The honor attendant was Elizabeth Sandbothe, Jefferson City, friend of the couple. The attendants were Ashley Patten, Jefferson City, cousin of the bride; Shelby Gordon, Jefferson City, friend of the couple; Courtney Lock, Kansas City, friend of the couple; Christy Hughes, Jefferson City, sister-in-law of the groom; Christine Hickox, Jefferson City, friend of the couple; Lauren Rotondo, St. Louis, friend of the couple; and Michelle Green, St. Louis, friend of the couple. They wore long, biscotti colored dresses. The best man was Bradley Schrimpf, Jefferson City, friend of the couple. The groomsmen included: Dane Hughes, Jefferson City, brother of the groom; Danton Hughes, Jefferson City, brother of the groom; Alex Werner, Jefferson City, brother of the bride; Jake Rule, Denver, Colo., friend of the couple; Seth Caywood, Jefferson City, friend of the couple; Tim Chambliss, St. Louis, friend of the couple; and Curt Vaughan, Jefferson City, friend of the couple. The ring bearer was Dax Hughes, son of Dane and Christy Hughes, Jefferson City, nephew of the groom. The ushers were Tyler Branneky, St. Louis, friend of the couple; and Seth Lehmen, St. Louis, friend of the couple. The organist was Annette Kehner, Jefferson City. The vocalist was Connie Andrews, Jefferson City. The Mass servers were Isaac Rackers and Ava Rackers, both of St. Thomas. The lectors were Donna Seidel, Lohman, godmother of the bride; and Maureen Sanning, Jefferson City, cousin of the groom. Offertory was presented by Brad Werner, Jefferson City, godfather of the bride; and Rodney Hughes, Jefferson City, uncle of the groom. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the St. Martins Knights of Columbus Hall. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held September 28 at their home. The bride is a 2012 graduate of Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City, and a 2016 graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. Dietetics degree. She is a Registered Dietitian at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City. The groom is a 2012 graduate of Helias High School, Jefferson City, and a 2016 graduate of Westminster College, Fulton, with a B.S. Information Technology degree. He is an Information Technologist with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jefferson City. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Jefferson City.
