Mr. and Mrs. John S. Lemmel, Linn, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary January 20 with a dinner with family and close friends at Sybill's, St. James, hosted by their children. John Samuel Lemmel and Sandra Sue Scott "Scotti" were married January 20, 1968, at Oklahoma Church of Christ, Linn. Brother Luther Villars officiated. They were attended by Sharon Soltuedt, Linn; Sharon Ridenhour, Tennessee; Barbara Barker, Texas; Ken Gelven, Linn; Rodney Allen, deceased; and Alan Lilleoine, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Lemmel have two children: John Lemmel Jr., Springfield, and Shannon Voss and her husband Eugene Voss, Linn. They also have seven grandchildren: Trey, Eli, and Jake Lemmel; Cade, Chance, Case, and Eden Pinkerton; and one great-grandchild: Duke Phillips.
