Tawnya Lage and John Schmitz, both of Jefferson City, were married at 2 p.m., June 10, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jefferson City. Fr. Charles Pardee performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Sharon Kempker, Jefferson City, and Andy and Sharon Lage, Mary's Home. The groom is the son of Fred and Magdalen Schmitz, Jefferson City. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the Wardsville Lions Club. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held June 9, 2017, at St. Peter's Fr. Ahrens Room. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Eugene High School, Eugene. She is a Senior Financial Services Technician at Missouri Department of Transportation. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Helias High School, Jefferson City. He is a Supervisor at ALPLA. After a wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple resides in Henley.
